The actual Sandia Tomahawk was most often flown as the sustainer in a two-stage configuration. The scale (single stage) version of the Tomahawk sounding rocket measures over 3 feet tall (38.35"). Quality parts include : plywood centering rings, balsa fin stock, translucent nose cone, 15" plastic parachute kit, and more. Fly this rocket on D to F motors for mid-power excitement. Product Features A body tube is sliced into sections which are glued between the fins. A template is provided to mark the cutting lines. The balsa wood fins are pre-cut. The Sandia Tomahawk is offered for sale as a Skill Level 3 rocket kit. This step is optional, the kit can be built and flown without these "metal plates".
