"just about all you could ask for"

the quality of this kit is great. smooth and precise and no mold issues. I expected to have some work to do, considering this is a continuation of the 1/12 Camaro of a few years back, but thankfully, it's almost ready to start prepping right out of the box. my only complaint: the tire options- firestone 7.75x15 ? hardly, goodyear polyglas E70x15's(I know-I bought one off the showroom floor in sept of '68. if you're planning on building the foose version, you may be disappointed in knowing all it consists of are the tires & wheels and a handful of decals that are in no way flattering to this Camaro...(I like chip foose, but these wheels are very unbecoming) gimme a set of rallys any day ! if you choose this kit, you don't need to be a mini-fabricator, or a sculptor to build it. my only suggestion on how to improve this car would be to open the doors and trunk lid, and add steerable front wheels, but we all know how to make this happen...I just happen to think that at $70.00 retail you could hang an extra 15 or 20 bucks on the tag, and throw in some GOOD tire/wheel choices, and a few hinges... i'd buy it- and save my dremel blades for later. as far as quality plastic-revel is great- and this is really good- as good as some german made kits I've seen-NO DISAPPOINTMENTS for me- i'm building this one showroom stock.

"Great model"
Chuck
This was a great model to build, and my favorite. This was the biggest model that I've ever built, and the details are fantastic. My only complaint was having to shorten the rear axle so that the Foose wheels/tires would fit better in the body. That's to be expected when you have two completely different wheel packages though. Overall, it was a great kit at a fair price. Highly recommended.

I love these 1/12 scale models by Revell. They make excellent builds when you add after market parts to give it a more real look.

"Very nice display model"

The castings were all in excellent shape. Almost nothing needed to be trimmed to fit. The kit includes parts for a tunnel ram intake in addition to the period-correct cross-ram. That's the route I took. The hole that needed to be cut in the hood corresponded to the large oval texture right in the middle of the cowl. When putting in the plug wires I used a very small drill bit to open the holes in the distributor and the heads. That made the plug wires much easier to secure. The only real issue I had was the fitment of the rear wheels. The instructions are faulty and do not explain correctly how to attach them to the car. You have to look at how it explains the stock wheels and then play around with it to figure out how to attach the white spacers that hold the retaining pins to the back of the chrome wheels. Then the pin will slide in the drum brake backing plate and that assembly slides over the end of the axle housing.
