"Very nice kit!"
rarem37
I built this one as the stock car racing version. It is a very nice kit that goes together very well. I didn't have any specific issues with the build. The only suggestion I would make would be to decide in advance what version and parts you want to use. Pre-planning will pay off with a very nice model.

"well done."

this 57 kit look's to be well done with part's fitting together really well and not much flash to clean up. i will build it as a racer and it can be built stock also. i built a 57 chevy a few year's back and it was not a good kit. it had a lot of issue's with the fitting of part's, but this kit look's to be a major improvement over the other stock kit. not sure who made the other kit, i believe it was also revell, but this is far better. also has nice beach racing scene on box art. kinda cheese but i love it.

This model is a good build when it comes to most details. The history of GM's Black Widows are beyond the scope of this review; however, certain decal omissions are obvious (Decals implied on the box art, but not present in the kit). The Black Widows were built and distributed out of Atlanta, GA and the most invasive participation of a car manufacturer in stock car racing. That said, the box shows the #47 Black Widow, apparently on the beach at Daytona. On the rear quarter panel it clearly displays Nalley Chevrolet INC, Atlanta, GA. The decal set only has Chevrolet INC, ATLANTA, GA. Perhaps there was a copyright problem with Nalley, but the omission is a big deal for an accurate model build. Nalley was involved with the creation and distribution of the Black Widows. There are also contingency sponsor decals missing and some other minor details. To achieve the authentic build I want to build, I have to turn to PhotoShop and laser decal paper. Sure, I'm a purist because I've been around the actual cars. My observations on the #47 car are based on the 2016 Barrett-Jackson auction, for $205,700.00, of the actual race-ready '57 Black Widow. Granted, Revell created a nice model, but it falls short of expectations when the box is opened and you're ready to apply the decals. I would recommend this model, but for the purist, you're going to have to create or acquire more detailed decals to get it right.

"Model car Tribute"

I'm Building 2 Tribute Collections 1 is going to be a collection of models of cars my friends & I had in High School & Collage (I graduated High School in 1971 didn't finished Collage, went the Air Force in 1973). 2 is going to be a movie car Tribute. This is going to be built resembling the '57 Chevy in Hollywood Nights. I'll add pictures as soon as I can. Course I'm assembling about 30 to 35 models for both these Tributes(I have almost finished purchasing most of the models I need). Now comes the Fun (a lot of work tho) part!!
