A great large-scale kit of the Apollo spacecraft that belongs in any real-space collection. More accurate than the Revell 1/48 Apollo stack. Has some great working features- folding antenna, gimbaling engine bell, and removable Command Module, which fell off a couple of times until I installed some magnets to hold it on better. The plating and clear parts are both a pro and a con- The gold plating on the Command Module looks really nice, but the real article was not gold, it was a shiny aluminum color. If I had it to do over again, I would strip off the plating and cover it with Bare-Metal foil instead. The clear parts are well done, but it's hard enough to cement clear parts without trying not to mess up the plated part at the same time. Still, it fits together pretty well.
Exterior detail is very good, and reasonably accurate. The docking probe is a real eye-catcher although I don't know how accurate it is. Decals are generally good.
Command Module interior is passable, could use a lot of improvement (true of any space kit-the real thing was always incredibly crowded with hardware!), and the provided decals look kind of cartoonish. There are, thankfully, lots of aftermarket detail kits available for this model.
Service Module interior is decent also, especially if one wanted to model it as Apollo 13- The detail under the clear panel is just what is needed to model the explosion damage.
