Description This is a 1/48 DLX P-40B Tiger Shark Plastic Airplane Kit from Revell-Monogram. It's a skill level 2 model, recommended for ages 10 and up.
Facts The P-40B was the first production version of the P-40 series. It began in an attempt to improve the performance of the earlier radial engined P-36 Hawk. Powered by a 1150 hp Allison V-12 engine, the P-40 was the main fighter of Claire Chennault's American Volunteer Group, the "Flying Tigers", who fought against Japanese forces in China before the US entered WWII.
Features Detailed 1/48th scale plastic kit.
Markings included for 2 aircraft. 61 parts in olive green and clear with raised panel lines and rivets. Cockpit detail: seat, instrument panel, control stick, and side walls. Exhaust pipes are separate pieces. Canopy may be assembled in open or closed configuration. Detailed wheels and landing gear. Flaps may be made movable or fixed in place up or down.
