I may have received the wrong kit!
I had lots of problems with this kit, even though it looks pretty good in my photos. First of all, I'm not sure the kit was packed correctly. Please compare the front grill from my build and the box. They are completely different, and I only got the chrome tree with the front grill I ultimately used. Second, if you build it the way you're supposed to in the instructions, you will not be able to close the hood. This isn't the first time this has happened to me, and I paid extra attention to getting the engine to seat properly, and it just did not help. The only way I could get the hood into place was to remove the air cleaner and bottom, the carbs, and the hood intake. As you can understand, there was no reason to photograph the engine compartment. I had trouble with the decals - they wanted to fold over along the edges where the tiny pin stripes formed an outline. Once they had folded over, they were impossible to unfold, even after removing them from the model and dunking them in the water again. I'm assuming they were as old as the kit. On a positive note, the chassis turned out pretty nice, and the bottom of the engine does fit the bill. The axles were surprisingly sturdy, and I only had one tire that wanted to keep falling off. The other 3 popped into place with a satisfying click. I also found that the model, with a little persuasion, sat neatly on all 4 tires.
Decent kit

Overall the kit was average. There where many fitment issues with the hood and headers having difficulty being slid into the chassis without hurting the fenders.
The other thing that was rather frustrating was lining up the decals properly on the hood and decklid. Even using micro set and micro sol the decals had difficulty conforming to the shape of the hood properly especially the trunk over the spoiler. The perspective was a bit off on the rear.
The last issue I had was dealing with the little chrome z28 emblems, very fragile and a pain to clean up the sprue.
With all that being said the kit was still good and came together nicely after cleaning up the above issues. This was the first car I've built in years. I am mostly an armor builder, building Tamiya and Dragon kits that don't normal have these issues so maybe I am being over critical because I am uses to more detail..

I love this kit this kit is a lot of fun to build I love old cars so this is great for my collection this kit has a lot of cool ways you can customize it I want to add another one to my stash as this one looks so good PROS: cheap, fun to build, looks good, highly detailed, features a nice engine CONS: minor flash if you are thinking of picking up this kit then get it, it is a great kit for any old car collector and you will have many ways you can build this if I was going to give it a rating I would give it 10 out of 10 stars I am using this kit for a diorama I have about the first ever car show I went to my mom took a lot of pictures of the cars there so I build cars based on what was at the show and the beginning of my car addiction!

I have built this model in the past.I have one on my shelf waiting to be built. What I love about this kit is it is the only one of the 69 Camaro Model Kits that Include the rare Cross ram Dual 4 bbl Carburetor set up that was a dealer installed option from the Factory.I am looking forward to building mine in the very near future. Revel and Monogram were always a bit more detailed and a bit more Challenging to build.Favorites non the less.
Great kit for a great value
I really loved this kit. It went together really well, and resulted in a really beautiful kit. The decals are superb. Yeah, there was flash, but that is a fact of life. Plus, the engine is just gorgeous. The really nice thing is that you get great detail, cool subject and builds up great - all at a very reasonable price. I know that Tamiya is famous for detail, but Revell can rival them with this kit.
Great Muscle Car kit
Revell makes a great first impression on this kit. The 1969 Camaro is a wonderful car and was really well built. This is a detailed kit and will make a good challenge for any car builder. I look forward to putting this kit together. This will make a good first car for more experienced builders and is a great representation of classic Detroit Iron. I look forward to building this kit.
Good detail! Great kit!

I only had 1 issue with fitting everything inside the body. But thays because they make the chassis fit as snug as possible so it fully resembles how a unibody when you flip it over. Great levels of detail and a great looking car period. It comes with the hideaway headlight and regular round headlight grilles and 2 options for tail lights. Sadly the only options for it are those 2
Very nice Kit

This is one of the first kits I built starting out (Or one similar to it). It was a good kit. Had detailed instructions. As someone else has already said, the hood doesn't close properly right out of the kit, but with a bit of sanding that turned out just fine.
I would recommend this kit to beginner builders as well as advanced ones. plenty of potential.
69' Z28

I give it an average rating , the decals on the hood and trunk don't line up well , the small Z28 emblems broke removing from the sprue , the molded in Camero emblem on the trunk lid interferes with the decal , I should have looked at the pics on this site , the headers were a pain and the hood doesn't fit well , but I had fun , pics to follow

Great kit for the muscle car guys. I prefer big rigs and pickup trucks myself. This kit goes together with no problems. Just remember the tolerances are close, especially body to interior and to chassis. I had fun with the interior and colors. Built this for the girl friend of the guy who gave me this kit. I think she’ll like it. Have fun with yours!
Great kit!!

I'm still currently working on this kit, but overall everything has gone really smoothly so far! The pieces all fit great, and there wasn't a lot of flash on the sprues.
Added an aftermarket hood and wheels to this kit since I'm making it look like a friends car.
But this kit has been a blast to build and would definitely recommend.
Very nice kit!

This is a really well done model kit. The details are great and the parts fit together extremely well. The decal sheet is excellent and has both black and white stripes. Includes 2 front ends and 2 tail light options. Just be careful with the Z/28 badges on the chrome tree as I broke a couple of mine. I highly recommend this kit.
Just Kind Of Mediocre At Best!!!
This kit is just kinda mediocre at best to put it plainly. I think the real problem with it was that it had too many fit issues to be able to describe it as a pleasure to build. If it seems to tickle your fancy though all the power to you, who knows it might be your cup of tea.
Nice kit, fairly clean molding
I used the chassis from the 67 Chevelle pro street and a huge resin motor so I can't really say how well the parts fit together, too many changes. What I did use didn't need much clean up, had decent detail. Will probably buy another to build mostly stock, it has potential.
Classic Camaro

This is one of the first models that i have built in a while. The instructions were very detailed (in my opinion) and even though the blue with white racing stripes is the most popular color choices you can make these models your own designs by doing your own paint scheme.
Good kit

This is a pretty good kit. Nice fitment. The crossmember for the engine is easy to put in backwards though. That same crossmember also typically falls off the tree so be careful unboxing. This kit also has the grill/headlights to not have the hideaway headlight look.
Awesome 69 Z28 RS
This kit is detailed very nicely. I have built quite a few of kits by Revell and am seldom disappointed. I had this one on display at the local hobby store and again it was sold. I will build another one for myself.
Nice Build
My kit was rated a Level 4 where this pic shows it as a Level 2, as it should be. Lacking detail and fitment. The instructions were a disappointment for being a Revell kit.
Great model kit

Very fun model to put together, engine has a ton of parts to put on which was a little problematic and the headers are 2 piece which I hate but it was great overall!
Enjoyed building this kit
By: vbussie07
The parts are pretty well detailed, and only need a little work with a file to clean up some of them. I made a lot of swaps, tires and rims, motor parts, seats.
good easy model
By: redfordolon
this is a good model did not take me very long to finish and turned out great but at first the hood would no close properly but everything else was great.
Great build
Lots of nice detail. Comes with 2 front grill choices and 2 choices of Rally stripe decal colors, Black or White. Will post pics when build is complete.
awsom kit
Mostley easy to build had some areas of build that were difficult example manifolds to engine, engine attachment to chassis, not enough attachment area.
easy-peasy
I went to the nearest hobby shop which is about 30 miles from me.They wanted almost 30 bucks. With that said it was cheap and got here fast.

Pretty good kit, I didn't have any fit issues and minimal flash. Great subject to customize if you choose.

Loved it. Went together like a glove. I had no issues with this. Will buy 2 more cause I sold this one.
