Prototype Information: Leopard 2A5 Main Battle Tank Description: The improved Leopard II main battle tank represents the result of a major modification program to improve the tank's survivability when faced with the latest anti-tank weapons. Also added were all-weather vision /aiming systems making the Leopard II one of the world's most advanced tanks The Leopard 2A5 entered service in 1995 and is distinguished by the sloped turret armour making the tank look like the US Abrams or British Challenger.
