The McDonnell-Douglas (now a division of Boeing) DC-10 is one of the most poular wide-body passenger aircraft. It is easily identified by its 3-engine layout with the third engine mounted on the vertical stabiliser. The DC-10-30 uses GE-CF6 engines, while the similar DC-10-40 uses Pratt & Whitney JT9D engines.
