![]() | 1/72 Blohm & Voss BV P-194 Other items from Revell of Germany The Blohm & Voss BV P-194 is one of the unique designs which came out of the German aircraft industry towards the last desparate days of WWII. Earlier in the war when the Luftwaffe needed a reconnaissance aircraft, the Blohm and Voss company designed an asymmetrical aircraft with the crew compartment away from the main fuselage on the right wing. The unusual aircraft flew but lost out to the more conventional Fw189. The P-194, which was intended to be a high performance dive bomber/ground attack aircraft had the same asymmetric layout as the Bv141 but had a jet engine under the pilots compartment as well as a BMW801 radial engine in the "fuselage." In the end the P-194 never made it off the drawing board but this kit by Revell-Germany gives an interesting look at an airplane that might have been. This 1/72nd scale kit includes hypothetical winter and summer eastern front markings. |
