I've used the Explorer X-19 (and its baby brother the X-13) multiple times now for teaching the Space Exploration Merit Badge. This is usually a one-day affair, where we build and fly as a group (along with some instruction) in about a 6-hour time span. Needless to say, stuff has to go together quickly, be fairly foolproof, and stay together when flying. I've yet to be disappointed by any of the Explorer kits -- they are sturdy, stable in flight, allow for multiple fin designs, and are very cost effective. I would recommend these any day for group use as well as individual flights, and will keep using them myself for Merit Badge clinics and other educational projects!
