"Great stuff-just apply it carefully"
skydog (Arizona)
A great filler for most plastic projects. It does attack the plastic, as it is lacquer based, so apply it carefully and don't get sloppy. The lacquer base is a good thing because it makes the putty stick very well to the plastic-it essentially welds itself on. It can also be thinned with lacquer thinner to make a thin putty/thick primer good for very small filling jobs. When it's thinned out like this, do not put on a heavy coat as it may melt the plastic-use the thinned stuff for 2nd coats and other very thin applications. Out of the tube it sometimes has small pinholes that may need to be touched up. Dries to about the same hardness as the plastic.

"Gives good results"

I haven't used too many plastic fillers out there. Strong odor. of all my modeling supplies only my paints have stronger odors. you have to move fast as it dries out quickly, which means you will end up applying more than you really need to. luckily it sands easily. I do find the green color to be hard to paint over. i am primarily filling rocket nose cones (often white plastic) I would probably recommend the white instead if you are using mostly for that purpose. I have had to paint over with white primer first, when using lighter colors over it (yellow, reds, orange). Does what its supposed to do.

"great putty"

This is stuff is simply the easiest most affordable putty on the market. It will soften the plastic. But it dries quick and can be sanded very easily with all manner of sanding media.

"good putty, a little course"

This is a good putty, but I find it a little course for fine work. It takes more sanding than some of the others I use. I would recommend it, but be careful how much you apply at a time, it will eat the plastic. That is not a bad trait as it means it is bonding to the plastic...just be careful!
