1/12 Tech 3 Yamaha ZYR500

This is a 1/12 Scale Tech 3 Yamaha YZR 500 2001 Motorcycle Plastic Model Kit from Tamiya.

At the year 2000 season finish, the Tech 3 team riders were ranked 1st and 2nd in GP250cc class. The follwing season, the Tech 3 team would enter the 500cc class. The machine used would be an evolution of the Yamaha YZR500, which won the Manufacturer's Championship in the previous year. Using a reliable 2-stroke water cooled V4 engine, handling was upgraded and a light- weight high-durability aluminum frame was employed. Cornering ability was improved by adding high-traction tires and aerodynamic front cowling.

Plastic parts are attached to sprues and molded in white and black.
Model depicts the Tech 3 Yamaha's characteristic features, such as the smooth cowling and altered silencer.
Engine is molded as one piece with airduct and other adjacent parts to provide easy assembly and preserve detail.
Body cowling and seat cowling are attached via screws, and can be removed after assembly.
Brake line and clutch wire reproduced with vinyl tubing.
Subtle curvature of delta box frame and smooth swing arm authentically replicated in this model.
Rear suspension uses metal coil springs.
Solid rubber slick racing tires.
Waterslide decals for riders Sinya Nakano and Olivier Jacque.
Includes small screws, screwdriver, brake lines and a small spring for the suspension.
