"very nice kit, easy to build"

This kit is a nice build of an early M60A1. It is one of the older kits in the Tamiya line, but has held up pretty well. As with all Tamiya rubberband type tracks, I put a couple of staples across the track join to hold the ends together. Another hint is not to glue the drive sprockets in place before the track is added. If you thread the track around the wheels and fit the sprocket in place last with the track around it, it save stretching the track and possibly breaking it.

"Sorry Tamiya"

Tamiya usually never has a lackluster model but this is it . Positions for parts loose fit at times . Flash present all round . Tracks only have 2 pins to secure , tore them as soon as tried to mount to vehicle . This one seems like an old model done with old tooling . I will still get Tamiya as they don't disappoint normally.

"Cold War Hero"

I build numerous Cold war era U.S. Army vehicles to show that variety of tanks and transports. This was no exception as the M-60 played an important role for the deployed forces throughout the world. One of the distinct characteristics was that the camouflage schemes were designed to fit into whatever part of the world the armor was deployed. Numerous combinations existed and my tank shows the one for a desert area. Other than painting a hopefully accurate camouflage scheme the model was an easy and enjoyable build. All of the parts went together well and there was no extra flash of plastic. The idea of a series of M60s in the Army make it a possible candidate to chose several and apply four of the camouflage patterns, the easiest being Artic as that would be mostly White! I would recommend this tank to novice as well as experienced model builders.
