"AWESOME TANK"
Miguel G.T (Colombia)
I builded this kit 10 years ago and i remember that i was very impressed about the extreme level of detail and lots of variety of items that comes with this kit. The tank is top quality and comes with plenty of options for several types of terrain such as desert, forest or winter. However, this tank is not recommended for unskilled beginners because is quite complex to build. I rate this tank 10/10 and i recommend it totally.

"Tamiya 1/35 M1A2 Abrams"
mooniemac2000
This kit contains 259 parts in light beige. The details are excellent, however, a few details are missing for the kit to be up to date, such as non-slip hull panels. In comparison to other kits, this kit has really made noticeable changes to the 120mm turret.

"Well Designed and Detailed Abrams!"

Well once agaian I feel that Tamiya came thru on its accuracy, it is a thick plastic design that I like, Alot of small pieces so if you have large fingers clips are a must, you will need too have some good degree of modeling skill and patience if you are looking for a pro finish, it is not terribly complicated at all the guide book is well laid out and if you don't rush, you can have a great time with the Build, I don't think a Beginner would want to jump right into this one but with after a couple less intricate parts this is worth the money and time too invest in , I am one to say from experience, I served on many Variants of the M1 Abrams, so I really try to give the best review possible , Detail and cosmetics wise great, plastic parts could be a littlethicher so they do crack as easy, Hope You Enjoy! Scott M.

"Excellent Build"
snod
This is my first Abrams that I have built and I enjoyed it. Great detail, different versions and lots of accessories. PRO'S: The detail, instructions and fit is excellent. The bustle rack has a mesh bottom that you cut out. The hatches and cupola have transparent material that you paint, cut out and install in all vision ports. They look so real. The two piece gun barrel went together with no seams. No need to purchase a metal barrel. They give you so much extra crews gear that I couldn't use it all. I didn't want to cover up so much of the turret. Two different cupola and machine guns. Add or delete the APU and CIP. Decals went on great. CON'S: NONE. I am a Navy Vet so I didn't know much about the Abrams. So I purchased the Squadron Signal in Action. (hobbylinc has) This was a great help. I also use Testors acrylic wash to bring out the tanks and crews gear detail. (black wash 79413) This is not a kit you put together in a weekend. Study the instructions before you start and decide what version you want. I high lighted which steps went with my version. This kit is NOT for a beginner, but a experienced builder. Just take your time and enjoy. I look forward to building Tamiya M1A1.
