An alternative to true black
I have always been very satisfied with the Tamiya line of spray paints, and I am very glad that Tamiya have brought back NATO Black into their line of paints. It is nice to have a black paint that is not a pure black paint (it appears to be a very-very dark green). In some applications this give a more realistic look than a pure black. I have even used it on a stock 1951 Chevy and it looks great after I polished it and also applied a gloss-clear lacquer over it.
Not a solid black
I love Tamiya paints. Fast drying, smooth spraying, user friendly. This black is not a solid black however. It almost looks like a VERY dark green when first applied. You get used to it once its completely covered but it not a true black in my opinion.
Nato Black
This is my favorite black that Tamiya makes; I have used it both in an airgun and Spray. It has a very nice, not glossy finish. It's a little bit different in shade as compared to rubber black.
