Must Have For Any Workbench
This liquid cement is a must have for anyone who plans on seriously getting into the hobby of building scale models. I don't know about building model trains, but for scale airplanes/jets and tanks you will be doing yourself a service by adding this to your toolset. Traditional CA glue and cement tubes are great for some applications and many modelers can get by with just that, but for any smaller pieces where that glue will seep out around the edges, this is what you will want to use. The included brush attached to the cap is perfect for either brushing onto the parts and pressing them together or holding the parts together and brushing around them. The glue itself is, as the product name says, extra thin and capillary action will pull the glue in to create a secure bond without unsightly goo leaking out. It does dry quickly, so if you're brushing it on and then pressing the parts together, you will need to work fast. For some larger pieces, you may want to use a few drops of CA glue like Testors liquid cement for models. For the price, you can't go wrong with this.
Best Plastic Cement There Is
By: John
I think this is the best plastic cement out there and I use it for all my models. It’s incredibly thin so it can be applied with precision on small parts, and the low viscosity means the cement’s capillary action allows it to flow into cracks and joins between parts to create seamless bonds. The bottle is short and squat, which makes it hard to accidentally knock over, and the fine pointed brush attached to the cap is both excellent at applying cement accurately, and won’t get lost on your work surface. TIP: Use Tamiya Extra Thin Cement to dilute regular Tamiya Plastic Cement when it becomes too thick over time due to evaporation. There’s alos a Tamiya Extra Thin Quick Setting Cement, and although I’ve never used it, I can’t see how you’d ever need it because this Tamiya Extra Thin Cement sets/dries within seconds. Plastic cement works by melting the surfaces of the plastic being joined, thus ‘welding’ them together for a permanent bond. Note that Tamiya Plastic Cement only works on plastic and won't work on resin or metal parts.
Tamiya Extra Thin Cement 40 ml Plastic Model Cement
Tamiya Extra Thin Cement is a substantial improvement over old school tube cements. This product has unique capillary properties that allow it to bond narrow part seam or bonding lines. Once applied, the residual glue evaporates completely, minimizing unsightly glue damage to the exposed plastic model part. This glue can also be used to melt rough plastic part surfaces away such as residual sprue gate stubs. Use of this product will create a strong odor so it highly recommended that it be used in a well ventilated area. Once this cement is applied to the plastic parts to be bonded the builder must work quickly to properly position parts in place as the cement evaporates almost instantly. It is also possible to re-activate previous Tamiya cemented parts to separate them if a wrong part was used or the positioning of a part was not correct. This type of correction works effectively as long as the Tamiya cement used previously used is not completely cured.
Superior Stuff
By: thetraveler7819
I've been a model builder for a while now, and I think I've run the gauntlet when it comes to glue. I remember the old orange death tubes that would explode all over the place, and this stuff greatly outpaces it.
The Tamiya extra thin is just that....really thin stuff. It works via capillary action, and is VERY quick to set up. The quick set version of this is great, but this cure slightly slower and leaves a little room for re-positioning if you need to.
Best way to use this is to mate your two pieces together, and allow a bead to run thru the seam. For parts that have no seam, simply lay your part where it needs to go and allow the cap action to work. The glue does the rest. Superior stuff with kits and sheet styrene, and leaves no goopy mess to have to work around. I'll never use another standard glue again.
Can't Live Without It
By: snod
I had spilled a new bottle of Tester's liquid glue. So I decided to try something different. Tamiya's glue filled that spot. Pro's: The shape of the bottle prevents you from spilling it over. Easy to grip and turn the cap off. The glue dries fast and strong. Their is a little odor, but I did not find it terrible. The tip of the applicator is the secret. The fine tip allows just the right amount of glue to flow into the joints. Easy to reach into tight areas. No wasted glue . I have tried it on a tank and airplane that I am building. Between Hobbylincs cyanoacrylate for large areas and Tamiya extra thin cement for small areas and small parts. I am confident it they will turn out great. Con's: NONE.
Best welding cement
This is the best cement to use for plastic models. With parts fit together simply take the brush included (very thin, very accurate cannot say how easy this is to use) and just touch in places and let the thin cement work into the seam, the thin cement will do the work for you. This will melt a very small amount of the plastic and when it drys welds them together. For the cleanest seam lines possible. A little trick for seams that need to be manually held together or just wont sit still for you while being welded is to put a small dab of CA glueand accelerator in a spot on the seam to hold it together quickly. Once the CA holds it still for you use the extra thin along the entire seam line. Perfect seams every time.
Best glue for joining hull sections of plastic model ships!
By: bbhoover
This is the best product I have found when trying to glue the two sections of a hull together when building plastic model sailing ships. Clamp the two pieces of the hull together using any type of spring loaded clamp. The clamps do not have to be very strong, just strong enough to hold to seam together. Use the brush that is attached to the top of the glue bottle, and paint the seam with the glue. Through a wicking action, the glue will be drawn into the seam and actually weld the plastic parts together. Very little clean-up is needed. The beauty of this product is that you will not have globs of glue squeezing out the seam that you will then have to spend time sanding off.
Tamiya Hits Another Home Run
By: flmarkr
Since there was only 1 plastic structure to build 4 years ago when starting in model railroading, I used the old school orange tube stringy stuff. Didn't have much need to change because the kit pieces stuck together fine. Decided to try scratch building using styrene and did not want to deal with the strings. Bought this Tamiya glue and wow, its amazing. The only question is expiration or amount of time before degradation once the jar is opened. No date code is on the label. The orange tube has a fairly long shelf life. Time will tell. The thin brush, quick setting, no strings to deal with and outstanding adhesion make this glue an absolute winner.
Great Product
By: for9139tea
I purchased this product because of the other reviews I have read recommending it. It's a great product that includes a small brush connected to the cap that you unscrew in order to get to the cement. It drys very fast. Leaves virtually no sign that glue was applied to wherever it was needed. It can get in very small cracks and seeps into them with no problem. Its made up of a very thin consistency. The only con about it is that it does have a high odor. I would not recommend using it in an enclosed environment unless you have proper ventilation set up. I am very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend
When only capillary action will do
By: Psybear
This extra thin formula is fantastic for its intended purpose...accessing hard to reach areas via Capillary Action with glue. For example, when joining two fuselage halves with no locator pins and not wanting to risk a botched job with normal glue, I lined up the two parts, held them together with masking tape and touched the applicator brush to the seam from the inside and watched as the glue ran down the seam fusing the two parts from the inside. No muss, no fuss and no smudges.
It also doesn't hurt that you get a generous amount and a good fine built in brush.
Multipurpose Fluid
By: mcraney.john
This cement works well for me. I like to use the thicker for initial assembly on large parts at strategic glue points. Then apply this thin down the seams to complete the cementing. I did spill this bottle upon my Hobbylinc supplied hobby mat. The angle lines, graduations, everything that was a black mark went away. But I keep this product. It does very well for me. Keep a clamp around the base of the bottle and spillage will be limited. Again, if and when I learn to use my phone, I will post those photos I took. John Yes I recommend it. I am on my 3rd bottle
Beats them all!
By: prgm_mgr
Ever since Tenax7 went off the market I've searched for a decent styrene cement.
I think I found it! The extra thin cement flows really smoothly, joins the styrene well and dries quick while still leaving a bit of time to reposition when needed. I can actually use it to attach the plastic window material to Jordan vehicles without concern it will fog. The capillary action draws it around the glass without creeping onto the clear area.
There is a slight odor when new but dissipates after a few uses.
This will become my go to cement for styrene.
Excellent Cement
By: todd_w14
I've been using this cement for a short while and I don't think I'll use anything else. The short wide bottle makes it harder to tip over and the fine pointed brush is ideal for applying tiny amounts to small parts it also makes the bottle last longer by reducing the amount of cement being applied to parts. It also forms a very strong, durable bond. The only negative about this cement is the odors which are very strong because this cement contains acetone so I'd recommend turning on a ceiling fan or opening a window when using this stuff.
Works great and works fast
I used this on a 1/43 scale car as a test subject. Works great. Sets up quickly. Evaporates quickly too so work fast if you have a long seam. It is fabulous for small things like mirrors and antennae because you can use a tiny tiny bit. When I was done it was hard to see that I had even used glue. The brush is very thin compared to the regular Tamiya cement, but is perfectly sized to pick up just the right amount for tiny work. Smells like a strong fingernail polish so replace the cap quickly. Highly recommended.
Best plastic cement on the market!
By: tsm5031
Tamiya's extra thin plastic cement is the considered by most modelers to be the gold standard. The plastic cement leaves a strong hold and does not dry right away when you apply on the surface and does not leave a mess. The bottle cap has a small brush built into the cap which is perfect for applying the cement on smaller surfaces and hard to reach areas. A 40 ml bottle should last you a while as you do not need to use much. Must have for anyone in this hobby.
Best Cement Out There
By: smiffy93
Made the awkward mistake of putting this Extra Thin cement on both pieces and touched together like tube cement. Then I discovered the technique of fitting two pieces together and 'painting' the seam with the extra thin cement and it seals the pieces together. WOW what a difference as it bonds and very little excess weeping from the bond. The bottle has a fantastic fine brush to minimize bonding surface.
Truthfully this cement cannot be beaten!!!
Tamiya liquid glue is very good for certain applications
This glue goes on water thin, which means it wicks into seams very well. Best glue joints achieved by applying pressure to the parts being glued together, making some plastic ooze out. Minimal seam cleanup needed afterward. If glue gets on outer surfaces of plastic parts, it just evaporates with no trace. This glue will not fill gaps, so a different glue is needed for those seams. Very little glue is used, so it will go a long way. Very good product.
Use with care
This glue is fantastic. It will flow by capillary action to tight seams and bond like a son of a gun. Take caution on finished parts as it will leave a finger print if it gets on your finger or will seep under tape and make a blob on the finish area.
Make certain that the top is on tight as it evaporates very fast. I use the thick and thin for different parts to be glued. The thick stuff is excellent also and would highly recommend. Good Luck!
excellent glue, evaporates fast, stinks
By: rarem37
The Ultra Thin glue dries fast and forms a good bond on bare plastic. I use it when I need a glue that will flow along a join and dry fast. As with most glues, it makes a poor bond on painted or chromed surfaces. If you forget to screw the lid on tight after use, it does evaporate quickly. I would rather use this excellent glue and get a good join while putting up with a little stink than any of the others that have a reduced smell and don't bond well.
Puts gluing to ease...
By: terrellw2000
I recently bought this glue from Tamiya, and it made gluing the very small parts that you can't really put on with the large tubes of cement glue. This also made it very easy to use as you have to only dip the brush (attached to the cap by the way) and just start gluing away. In addition, another reason why I love this is because, when you put on the glue, it really doesn't leave no real signs of glue which is useful to having glue seep out of cracks.
Gluing small parts made easy
By: Tommy
OK, Tamiya gives you a brush which you['ll probably never use with this glue. Not even a drop is needed for most applications considering what applications this type of glue is intended for. I simply touch the tip of the brush onto a seam and the glue will fill the seam in. Then I clamp the piece tightly with a padded clamp and let it sit for a few days. It sands just as well as regular Tamiya Cement.
These Tamiya Cements make life so much easier.
Very good cement
By: dave2404
Tamiya makes some very good products and this cement is no exception. Glues fast and makes a very good bond. Three things to be aware of however, 1)It's flammable, 2)the fumes will know you out or worse, so use good ventilation and 3)don't get this on any plastic that you want to look good. I got a drop of this on a wing and it melted it on contact. So use caution when using this cement and be sure of what you want to glue together.
Extra thin cement
By: brittond63
This cement is a work horse once you start using it. You gain insight in knowing what glue is best for that part. Tamiya's Extra thin flows & fills minor imperfections & seams. Dries quick & will dissolve styrene shavings to create a bottle of styrene filler. It gets thicker? Add more extra thin. Buy 3 or 4 bottles to have on hand. Tube glue, CA glue, ABS cement, & Tamiya extra thin should be your glue/cement inventory for happy modeling.
Only #2 in Plastic cements? Wonder what keeps it from being No. 1
By: kandj172
For 50+ years I have used either a tube glue or liquid glue of a well-known company for making models. If any went where it was not supposed to go, the plastic melted slightly or I got a glaze that had to be sanded off. I've seen videos using liquid glues that did not seem to do that.
Well, with this, it is true. Fast adhering, no craze, wicks into the gap. I am sold. No more of the other stuff. This is it for me.
Sets the Standard
By: Colter G. (MO)
Tamiya Extra Thin Model Cement is hard to beat. Its been my go to for years and stands head and shoulders above the regular tube cement. As its name suggests it's very thin and can creep into areas unlike tube cement due to its capillary action. It's almost worth the price you pay just for the precise applicator brush you get in the bottle, not to mention a bottle of this stuff will last you nearly forever.
Perfect Product
By: monstaveros
I remember the days where I was limited to using glue out of the bottle, and it would dry leaving a crusty mess all over my model and my fingers. With this glue that problem is completely solved. I have never had to clean up a mess made from this glue. It dries fast and flows really well; even a small dot applied on a joint of an already glued part will easily increase the strength of the joint!
Buy it once and use it for ages
By: kresnick89
Great cement. Happened to pick up a bottle a long awhile ago, and it's still going strong. Adherent with just a quick swipe with the included cap brush, thin enough to seep into gaps, and just a little goes a long way. I use it on all my plastic models. I mostly assemble figures, and it offers just enough give to reposition arms and heads before it's fully bonded. Highly recommend.
Tamiya Thin Cement
By: cdunlap89
This is a great product from Tamiya. It is a fairly strong cement and is very thin. This helps the cement seep into the cracks between the pieces and for a great bond. This product will leave a very small trace that cement was used and the excess can easily be sanded off to make a seamless look. Also comes with a nice applicator brush built in to the cap. A little bit goes a long way.
Tamiya quality
I do a lot of scratchbuilding and for those projects I usually work with a 1 pint can of cement from Tap Plastics, just for the cost to volume savings, but working on kits I love to use Tamiya extra thin cement, this stuff is awesome. You can apply it with pin-point precision and it doesn't take very long to set up and get strong. Great stuff like nearly everything from Tamiya.
Best model cement
Tamiya extra thin cement is a must with high end model kits as thick tube cement can easily melt thin model parts and ruin a perfect high dollar model kit that can be a bad day for some . But the brush on application is easy with no huge mess on your model and hands of course but if your building high end model kits It's best to use this thin cement you won't be disappointed .
soso
i bought it thinking it was going to better then what i am using and i was kinda disappointed, it works but dry time is unbearable even with accelerator. on what i have used it on have worked very well and is a strong bond. i would like it better if the dry time was better. although i have found out that when used on styrene it holds better than anything i have come across
Best model cement
By: mesnell85
The only model cement I use. It's melts fast and seeps into the gaps creating an instant and unbreakable bond. I also use this to make filler putting finely cut pieces of sprue in an older jar to make a perfect filler that won't shrink or cause irregularities in the final paint job. Tamiya is known for their awesome products and this is just another example
Very effective bond strengthener.
By: greivous166
Love this product, sets in seconds and holds very well for how thin it is. Applicator brush is a god-send for getting the glue into very tight and cramped spaces and leaves little or no residue. However, I don't recommend using this solely as a binder as the pieces can possibly come back apart. Recommend using regular plastic cement with this as a strengthener.
Stop using other glues and start using this stuff now!
By: lvlaffey
Title says it all. If you're using any other glue than this stuff, stop and buy some of this. The applicator brush makes it easy to apply and enables you to get glue into all those tight spaces. Doesn't really leave a mess either and dries extremely fast. I used the orange tube glue for years and will never go back from this stuff. Highly recommend!!
my go-to for building
By: dbirge83
I use this almost exclusively when building models. I like the capillary effect for getting into any area. You have to watch where you put your thumb or glue with make a finger print on your model. My only complaint is the brush wouldn't get down to the bottom of the bottle so I mix old bottle then put some sprue in it to make a handy filler.
Standard for a reason
By: Achu001
All the forums said this stuff was industry standard for a reason, and guess what... they're all right It's really easy to use, and keeps seam lines super clean. Really great for hard to reach spots; capillary action gets the glue into hard to reach places. Anything left on an exposed surface dries to nothing and needs no sanding.
The best on the market for general use.
By: matthewmyates
This is the cement you’ll likely use for a majority of your modeling needs. Touch it to a seam and the thinness let’s it run in with capillary action. It dries very fast and leaves very little evidence it was applied. Couple this with regular tamiya cement and a good CA and you’ll be able to build any styrene model.
Excellent!
Best all around glue for styrene plastic. Works great for small parts or when capillary action is needed. Place the part in position then use a drop of glue, lightly press the parts together and let dry. Initial tack is achieved in seconds. Full cure can take several hours or even overnight depending on how much you use.
Fantastic capillary action
By: Nick.Stygles
The goal of this glue is to seep into the small cracks and holes of what is to be bonded. with a fast set time and good adhesion, this cement is perfect for the really small parts that require pinpoint accuracy of gluing. This bottle will last me a long time. Kudos to tamiya for the rock solid quality of their products.
Awesome glue
By: tommyboy1277
This is the best glue I've ever used, when I started building I used the testers orange tube thinking that was the only thing around boy was I wrong. This stuff is thin, dries fast and little goes along way. If your in the market for a new glue this is the stuff to get. You will not be disappointed I promise.
The Standard
Tamiya Extra Thin Cement is the standard tool of the trade. It excels at welding plastic model parts by capillary action, leaving minimal traces outside the joins. The applicator brush is great allowing you to control how much and precisely where the cement is applied. Excellent product. Will purchase again.
Great to use with touch and flow
This glue is so thin that it works great with a Touch and Flow applicator. I usually join the parts together, then tough the glue brush onto the seem. The glue will flow into the seem.
I have knocked the bottle over a couple times, so I put mine in a foam block with a hole cut out in the shape of the bottle.
Tamiya Thin Cement the greatest
By: tvdavis1954
I’ve used mainly Testors Master glue and CA for many years and after watching many youtube videos and seeing everyone using this I decided to give it a try and I’m never looking back. This stuff is the greatest it dries fast and sticks great, the only thing I’m disappointed in that I didn’t try it sooner.
My go to for regular use
I use a variety of glues depending on materials of parts and forces upon them but for standard plastic -on- plastic application, it's a quick , relatively mild smelling cement that is very forgiving. Avoid bare fingers near freshly bonded parts though to avoid melting finger prints into plastic.
The only Cement that I'll use!
By: iacon6
This is the only cement that I use on my model kits and I think that other users of this fine website will agree with me that Tamiya thin cement is essential to anyone who works on a model kit. I also use this cement when I restore old vintage plastic toys. Excellent product. 5 out of 5 stars.
Good glue!
This glue is great, for non-heavy duty projects. I use it to bind things that will not have much human interaction (like internal stuff or small gas cans or whatever). It has been very solid, and has not let me down. Also a good amount is in the bottle! Mine has lasted me for about a month.
Excellent product,worth trying,you won't be disappointed
I used Testors tube glue pretty exclusively until trying this stuff. It is now my primary glue because of how much easier it is to use and no annoying strands to deal with. This has sped up my builds a bit because of how simple it is to use. Try it, I'm sure you will be very happy with it.
User Friendly Cement
By: minireef05
Capillary action is your friend with this thin cement. It easily runs into and along seems and joints with just one touch of the small applicator brush. Very little collateral damage from excessive glue application owing to the thin liquid and precise applicator brush.
Great glue
This glue is the best that I have used. It has a slow enough dry time to get the pieces just where you need them, but dries fast enough you don't have to wait all night to move on. The brush on the applicator is small enough to put the glue exactly where you need it.
Fantastic cement, thin but powerful
By: EnricoArezo
This cement is very nice for filling seam lines and gluing small parts, it comes with a very handy fine brush attached to the cap.
It's thin enough not to leave a raised area where it was applied.
Keep your work area ventilated, because the vapors could be harmful.
The Best
By: jc (Missouri)
I use this glue for the wings and fuselage and it is the only way to go. No more rubber banding or clipping of parts to let glues set all night. Use it as directed and it works great, just watch your finger placement while using it or you make a mess on your model.
This converted me to thin glues
I've always used gel type glues, and those have their place, but extra thin makes for quicker assembly and nicer looking joints. After buying this, I decided to also try some other liquid cements, they're all game changers in assembling styrene models.
Great glue
By: CS
It has a consistency like water, and will work very well with the touch-n-flow system. The cement will appear to be evaporating within seconds of applying, but it is still there. This dries quickly and creates a strong bond. Inside the cap is a fine tip brush.
Liquid glue
Since the moment I first used this glue, I haven't used any other brand. It can be put into any seam and capillary into every nook. Fast drying, it allows the builder to continue building, longer. I highly recommend this everyone building plastic models.
Tamiya Plastic Cemet
A really good product for joining plastic parts together. The cement acts as a weld, therefore, once used, you will have to cut the joined pieces if you make a mistake. Use before painting. It affects acrylic paints (not sure about lacquer paints).
Tamiya glue
By: pat_2182
This stuff is really good. Getting back in to model building is nice and easy with this stuff, unlike Testors tube glue. It made a mess but that's what we had. I'm not knocking Testors , they were the only thing we could get pre internet.
Great glue
By: tcir
Clean the pieces to be glued, hold them together, make sure there's no gap and put a drop on the seam. Don't try to put it on the parts then put them together, you probably won't be fast enough. Works fast, holds strong.
useful addition
I like this cement. it comes in handy for tight areas and delicate pieces as well as tricky building situations. The Brush also makes application very easy. The only con is that is is stinky like chemicals so use in a vented area..
Excellent cement for most projects
By: pfinan73
Very thin and quick setting for standard cement, Tamiya also has quick setting cement (10 second) which is also recommended. The brush applicator makes accurate placement easy and doesn't dry too quick for good placement time.
Product review
This product works great. First time using this product and it fit the need very well. Just getting back to the modeling hobby and Hobbylinc has a great product set with good descriptions and overviews. Will reorder soon.
Tamiya extra thin cement
By: fairhandyman01
Just started using this glue about a year ago and I must say it has its place, I use a number of different types of glue for different situations but for general use and Scratch building its almost a must have. Good product
Works great!
By: pjsmith1968
I really like the way the glue flows into the seams. The only drawback I've encountered is when the liquid is low in the bottle, it is hard to load the brush without an overload of glue which can spill onto the model.
What have I been missing?!
By: royinla1
Finally started using this cement and now I fully understand what all these other folks have been talking about. Have used it in my current build almost exclusively and find it makes painting and detailing so much easier.
Tamiya cement
By: mlaponte
I recently restarted building. previously I had used the Testors tube cement. This stuff is amazing. It finishes drying in seconds with a strong bond. It flows into the joints. Building is so much easier with this.
tamiya should not buy this
Not what I expected coming from such a good company.I like the bottle and small brush applicator but it took so long for the glue to set. I would recommended a gel based super glue or good ol testors cement glue.
What can I say. Great.
By: nathans138
My second bottle. After switching to this from the old tube model cement, I am never going back. Only exception might be large parts like the wing halves of a large bomber, because this stuff dries really fast.
Amazing price
By: brettb.beatty
So as every avid modeler knows this is an amazing item. Bonds amazing and easy to hide if you apply too much. What makes it even better is the price from the website. I will continue to use this product forever.
Good cement
By: abhikapuria (PA)
I have had no issues using this cement. It doesnt dry too quickly so if you apply it to plastic and want to move around the parts a little bit, thats totally fine. Once dry, the plastics will not come apart.
Thin is in
By: allendmincey
This is the best stuff.
I don't miss holding parts together for an hour while the glue sets,it only takes a drop. This thin quick setting glue helps the creativity flow with its speedy drying time.
Favorite Cement Product of All
I can stress how good this is for small scale model parts. Great tiny applicator brush, quality cement that sets in several minutes. great for touching up seams in your scale model bodys. Get this one
Good product
One of the best glues on market. Its very thin, as name says, so it wont leave too much left overs after applying it to the model. Last for long time. I finished 8 models (1/35 scale) with one bottle.
Extra Thin Cement 40 ml
Use the cement about 90 percent of the time. Holds joints extremely well with very little waiting time. I find that on large joints, a double coating is recommended.
Product is all pro's. No con's.
It’s Cement Alright!
By: pahpaw60
Follow the directions & it works great. Put it on, wait a millisecond and it will be dry.
PSA. You will not be able to safely use thinner or alcohol if you need to unglue. It’s that strong.
Best Ever!
Best cement ever. Remember the old days , Testors glue tube and finished models looked like they were found in an attic from all the webs! This is amazing one touch with brush seals all seams.
AWESOME glue.
This is the best glue I've ever used. It is water thin so it flows perfectly and when it dries it leaves little to no evidence. Works over painted areas as well but it WILL mare paint.
Great glue
By: godspeed8814
I've been using this by recommendation for the past 5 years and love the ease of use and quick drying time. Even got my son using tamiya's glues now that he has gotten into models.
This stuff is great
By: buch30548
Very fine tip for precision glueing. Was great on my tiger 1, m24 chaffe and my sherman. Left no glistening spots and will last you about 5-10 models very good deal for such a great product.
The best glue, period
By: michaelgantt2000
this glue is the best thing i ever switched too. hold two parts together, and brush some on, it uses capillary action to go inside the seam for a good bond. no globs, no strings.
Extra Thin Cement
By: chefmercier
This cement is extremely useful when gluing plastic parts to a desired position when holding in place together.
The thin cement flows smoothly between the gaps of the fitted parts.
Love this product
This is my go to for removing most mold lines off models, or just to get rid of the fuzzies. Only thing I hate about it is the smell, so I have to use a respirator when using it.
Extra Thin Cement
By: elmer5353
This stuff is great for. Small areas. Were not much. Cement. Is. Needed also gets. In small spaces without making a mess never used before. But will continue to use from now on
Best Model Cement
By: jerbear669
The absolute best model cement out there. Goes into all the nooks and dries fast and hard. No messy cap like squeezable tubes either. I will never use a different cement.
Liquid thin model glue.
By: scottalfano
Excellent price for the Value, ample, ample ml's provided, extra thick & strong bottle & strong tight & leak proof cap, & mess proof glue, because it is extra thin cement.
TRUSTED STAND-BY
By: johnnyh9870
I've tried pretty much every cement there is...nothing has the hold time and strength...it will even weld if you are patient and do it properly. Nothing beats it.
Works incredibly well!
I broke a few of the smaller pieces when working with my first kit, but using this got it back to looking great. Also worked well for the other applications of course.
Is there really any better?
By: Clint Morris
This, to me, is the bar that others are measured by. goes on great. little dab will do you. just touch area and capillary action cements part. and super quick.
Excellent and strong glue
By: markbouchard42
This glue dries quickly but gives you enough time to work. It stays strong over time which is very nice. The brush on the lid makes applying the glue very easy.
Tamiya cement is awesome!

Excellent for building and repairing your models, Tamiya brand is very recommended, also the product arrived on time and very well packaged, highly recommended!
Great Glue
A really good glue especially when you got too glue tiny parts. Those glue in the tube gets too clumpy, so this is definitely much better for smaller pieces.
Cheapest Price Online!
Anyone doing models or plastic work love this glue, how ever in recent months avg. price had been near 7-10$ this is an amazing price! For an Amazing Product!
No reason
By: user133405
In this day and age. There is no reason to be using antique tube glue. Liquid cement is so much easier to use. Drys faster, bolds better. And NO SPIDER WEBS.
very impressive cement
By: rsosin415iep
this is my first time using this cement and i am very impressed. the glue is thin but strong and quick drying. the brush makes it easy to apply. i am a fan!
Tamiya cement

This is the ONLY glue that I use when building plastic models. It works fantastic, holds well and if need be, can be scraped off a piece. Highly recommend.
Really versatile glue
By: jonathanfduan
This stuff is much more useful than just for plastic glue, you can run some across mold lines in hard to scrape places and it smooths them out pretty well.
My favorite glue
I love this glue. It's great for putting together all kinds of models. Easy application on smaller pieces that thicker glue just ends up messing up.
Great product
By: paulsmith4787us
Great for when you need a little more working time joining parts together, consistency helps with accurate and clean application just where you need it
Works!
By: rwy30
Works nicely for ABS plastics train models. Has strong smell, and causes a tiny bit of corrosion (but that's how the glue sticks plastics together)
Best glue around
By: Zepx264
This stuff is excellent for bare plastic during initial assembly. It doesn't work very well on a painted surfaces, use something else for that.
Outstanding
By: user152928

By: mstem54
Don't need this glue often but when needed it seems to just suck into the joint! Little goes a long way! Dries fast & no mess.
Plastic Welding
Good way to join parts. Melts plastic together for a strong bond. Can also be used to make sprue glue that fills bigger gaps.
Extra thin cement
Makes those hard to reach places and butt joints on your kit simple and easy. I’d recommend this item to anyone in the hobby
Game changing product
By: lancehuthwaite
Tamiya's Extra Thin Cement makes assembly much neater and faster. I love the small brush and capillary action of the cement.
My go to glue!
Great for hidden bonding on highly detailed items, gives time for adjusting before it sets. Bottle lasts for many projects.
Absolutely great
Not an all around cement, but a must have for general or scratch building anything made of polystyrene and abs plastics.
Great cement!
