- LUSTREKOTE IS NOT SAFE FOR FOAM LUSTREKOTE IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH ANY OTHER PAINT! In order for a true match to MonoKote, LustreKote primer (top7801) must be used as a base under the LustreKote paint (except when used on MonoKote).
- LustreKote MAY be used on butyrate, but ONLY in VERY thin layers.
- Applying LustreKote too heavily will cause the butyrate (canopies, etc. ) to deform.
- Also, the combination of masking liquid (like Hobbico Master Mask) and LustreKote (ANY amount) will damage butyrate! For best results, mask off butyrate with LustreKote Masking Tape TOPR8018.
- The matching MonoKote covering is TOPQ0204 When applying over MonoKote, lightly sand off shine with a 320-400 grit sandpaper, clean surface with alcohol and allow to dry.
- Apply in thin coats
