When it comes to the model trucking industry there are three manufacturers at the forefront; Trucks and Stuff, Classic Metal Works and Herpa. The Trucks n Stuff models I have are two #SPT3282, Kenworth T800 with Low Boy trailer, Fairchild Trucking rigs. I have modeled an industrial park that includes a CAT dealership. These two heavy duty lowboys have a 4 axle tractor and the same 3 axle trailer shown. One is seen leaving the dealership with a Norscot CAT roller and one with a CAT excavator being loaded. The detail on the tractor and trailer is top notch. The wheels, mirrors and air filters are chromium as is the front bumper and exhaust stack with the rest of the detail painted silver for definition. Detail under the tractor is quite good with motor detail, drive shaft, fuel tanks and twin two speed differentials. There is a silver sun shade, cab steps, front and rear mud flaps and twin horns on top. Paint and lettering is excellent. I added some orange paint to the running lights on top of the cab and painted the rear mud flaps and tire tread on the tractor and trailer in a grimy black and added red paint to the brake and tail lights on the tractor and end of the trailer, the latter getting orange paint for turn blinkers. The trailer is well appointed with air brake cylinders and air reservoirs visible from the top. The front of the trailer’s depression can be unscrewed from the hitch and set on the ground for loading and unloading with help of the steps on the forward end, just like the prototype. The wood planks on the trailer are weathered convincingly. The only reason why these models do not get a five star rating is because there is no interior cab detail but largely hidden by all the exterior details that were added. Other than that this model is a good buy.
