This beautiful truck will help date your layout
This 1914 Diamond T grain truck is the perfect compliment to my saw mill. Though it is intended to be a Purina Mills grain truck, I loaded mine with raw lumber. There were some problems with this kit; however, the result is worthy of 5 stars. The parts explosion was not sufficiently explained in the instructions. I initially placed my front suspension in the wrong place. As I think about it, if I had glued the wheels to the front suspension before attaching the suspension, the position of the wheels would have shown me the right way. Several pieces needed adapting to fit properly. I had to remove part of the motor--which is not seen--before the cab would fit properly. The instructions clearly indicate that this will be the case with some parts. This grain truck has no rear gate, but it was easy to make one. Remember, read all of the instructions before assembly and you will have a beautiful truck which will identify the era of your layout our diorama.
