Features As railroads began hauling logs from cutting sites to mills, new machines were developed to speed unloading. Log Unloaders, similar to overhead industrial cranes, were developed to remove an entire carload of logs in one pass using giant arms. Used at saw mills of every size, the design is ideal for small operations where space is limited. Since they can be constructed almost anywhere, they can be used to build a mill without the traditional log pond. Like the prototype, this versatile kit is a perfect addition to any size operation and looks great alongside the Mountain Lumber Co. Saw Mill (933-3058, sold separately). The kit is nicely detailed, with heavy-duty supports, positionable trolley and lifting arms.
Install it over the tracks to service Walthers Logging Flats (932-4000 series) or the Logging Truck (933-4012) both available separately. Overall size of finished model: 11 x 8 x 6" 27.5 x 20 x 15cm. Related Items
