Heavy, but cleans.
I was excited about getting a track cleaner car that can run around the track pulled by a locomotive, to automate and possibly replace the time I spend rubbing cleaning solvents onto the tracks. This track cleaning car is well made, detailed, shorter than all of my other boxcars and has some good weight to it. It is well balanced and seems somewhat magnetic so it is sure footed on the track. Even if the boxcar itself rocks, it's not leaving the track so easily. That's worthy of cheers! But then the jeers, the same thing that makes it awesome became a problem I'm still sorting out. All of the locomotives I have, old and new really struggled to pull or push the car consistently. I even used engines placed in front and in back of it and the same issue. I tried to make adjustments to the screws to the cleaning pad, and no luck. Quite sure I am missing something. So I pushed the car around the tracks and it got them clean. 😉 chuckles 😊. Not a great first experience, but I'll figure it out. I'm set directly in the middle about recommending.
