I opened the kit and really marveled at how the main tree of parts was engineered; it was beautiful in itself. I have a feeling that some former Soviet engineer was responsible for the plans; the detail done on the trees are terrific, but the most demanding in cutting out very thin parts, I have faced with a well designed kit (Others were as hard, but because they were sloppy molds.)
The detail on the interior and the landing gear was exact in their detail, and had to be carefully built, though with the quality of the kit that is the hobbyist's problem; done well the kit is wonderful. The only problem I have had with the kit is that, with most very thinly molded fuselage and wing parts, there is some warping of the parts which require some putty and sanding to make the kit right The instructions, very well written and illustrated, should be followed carefully and patiently above all. Take the time between steps for the glue to dry' A basic idea, but here it really makes a difference.
. This is definitely not a kit for the young and inexperienced, but a great build otherwise I hope ICM from Kiev, broadens their line-up in the future..
