WWII SB2M100A Soviet Bomber

This 1/72 scale kit comes from a Ukrainian model company called ICM. The pros of this kit are that it includes four paint schemes to choose from The one I've chosen is from the 44th SBAP (Bomber Regiment), Karelia, January 1940. That version has skis in which I have never done one before. The other three versions included are: the 24th SBAP (Bomber Regiment), Karelia, December 1939; the 49th SBAP, Mongolia, June 1940; and West Front, summer 1941. The decals are easy to take off though fragile primarily the tail decals that were ripped apart but were easy fixes. The painting of the aircraft is fairly well done. The cons of this kit are: Almost nothing on this one fits perfectly without careful sanding and cutting. The clear plastic pieces were either too big or too small for where they were supposed to go so I had to make adjustments to get them working as best as possible I even used hot glue from a glue gun to fill in the gaps. The illustrations on where each piece is supposed to go are not well drawn. Overall I would not recommend this aircraft if you are a beginner/amateur. However, if you are a pro modeler you can get it made and then you also deserve a pat on the back Based on this, I give a rating of three stars out of five.
