If you have played World of Tanks, you'll appreciate the kit. If you're on a budget you'll more than likely appreciate the kit. If you are wanting to make a historically accurate representation of a Tiger I, you may want to go with a different kit. Don't get me wrong, there's little flash, comes with its own cement, and has some interesting inscription decals you can place on the kit. The instructions also seem to be a little easier to read, but can still get a little confused with putting 15 or so pieces on the kit in one step. It also doesn't go over how to apply the Zimmerment BUT it's a common sense thing once you look at it and think for a second. For a builder on a budget, or just looking at trying different kits, go for it! If you're a die hard dio maker or a historically accurate purest, do a little research on the kit to get the aftermarket parts to bring it to snuff.

"Excellent for beginner and up"

The Italeri World of Tanks Tiger I was easy to build even for a beginner. You have the choice of 2 versions of the Tiger I. The early Tiger I and the later version with Zimmerit coating. (Zimmerit was a paste-like coating used on mid- and late-war German armored fighting vehicles during World War II. It was used to produce a hard layer covering the metal armor of the vehicle, providing enough separation that magnetically attached anti-tank mines would fail to stick to the vehicle, although Germany was the only country to use magnetic anti-tank mines in numbers.) The instruction will indicate the part of the early version of the Tiger I, if you prefer to built the later version with the Zimmerit, I would suggest to prepare and indicate on the instruction the part that need to be replace. You also have the option to install the fuel line and container on the back of the tank (but not indicate on the plan). Overall a big thumb up for the kit by Italeri, easy to built for beginner and up. The only difficult part is the building of the track. But Italeri provide you with an internet address of a video that show how to built the track... :)

Finished model looks great. Custom painting is a must. The instructions are cumbersome with having to add so many pieces in 1 step. That could be better. Building the tracks is a pain. A lot of patience is needed. I did not like having a large number of pieces that are not to be used and no instructions if I did want to use them. That is very confusing, especially since the standard version and the special version in the kit are numbered the same.

"Not the best kit for the $"

This kit had it's issues to say the least. The hull is in multiple pieces, none of which fit well and took many hours of putty & sanding to get rid of the seams. There were an overabundance of cast lines & flash that had to be worked. Detail is lacking & no PE parts. It did come with glue, but I use a different brand that I think is better. The decals were for gaming, not authenticity. Overall, this is a good kit for someone who just wants to put one together for fun & likes the perks of WoT. For the $$$, you might want to go with another major brand if you are serious about the finished product.
