This is an unassembled, unpainted kit, molded in white polystyrene. A full-size reproduction of a type of 17th century Dutch flintlock pistol. Paint, glue (either CA glue or plastic cement), and a hobby knife are required. The finished model is about 16 long. The molded detail is very nice for an inexpensive kit.
This model is intended for display, not play; I bought it for use with a pirate costume and ended up reinforcing and weighting it with PVC pipe and epoxy putty. I painted the metal elements with Rustoleum Metallic Dark Bronze and highlighted parts with Antique Gold Rub 'n' Buff. The stock and pommel of the original weapon are ivory. I painted these parts with cream acrylic paint, rubbed weathering pigments into the recesses, and sealed it with a coat of paste wax.
