Blue Devil Military Destroyer Boat

My father was on one of these ships, the Mullaney (#528) for a brief time during the Vietnam War. The nicest thing about this kit is the large size. The worst thing is that some of the details are inauthentic to the actual Fletcher Class Destroyer. If you are a stickler for accuracy, then skip this kit! If you want a fun, very old kit to build, it's a nice one. I recommend you skip the motorization however as, like Lindberg's PT boat, it takes a LOT of work to get it going right. Plenty of space for some nice detailing on the AA guns and railings if you want to add a special touch.
