All of the Mach 2 R-7 models utilize the same base moulds, which do have several flaws in them but nothing that can't be worked around. The difference between the kits is what goes above the core first stage, in the case of this kit that being a 2 piece fairing made of a different plastic than the rest of the launch vehicle. Considering Mach 2 is only of the only companies to produce 1/72 R-7 family models, at a fair price all things considered, I'd definitely recommend this kit. It's not perfect but semi-experienced modellers should have no issues with it.
