Spotlight Review

"Very good book of Bf-109's aces, for scale modelers or enthusiasts"
This book deals with the performance of the bf-109 and the pilots who achieved the status of aces fighting in them. Focusing in the eastern front, from Op. Barbarossa to the final capitulation in Berlin. Arguably, Russia was the most fertile ground of the Jagdwaffe Aces. This book's makes a nice mix between, the evolution of the (Bf-109) machine in battle, on one side, and the stories of the men who fought, and even died, in it. Pilots like Môlders, Hartmann, Barkhorn, Rall, Kittel and dozens more, made more aerial victories in this battlefront than any pilots before and after could. The stories are telled by units and pilots alike, it comes with very nice tables (like Pilots with 100+ Eastern front victories, unit listings), full colour aircraft drawing plates (40), all with explanations at the end of the book. Also has scale plans of the variants cited in the volume. All around the texts, are inserted Black and white images, which also brings support for the Colour profiles. This book make a valuable reference resource for military model makers, for Bf-109 Eastern Front aces, this book is a must.
