"Very interesting book of the quietest beaches in D-Day"
hhpodesta
Gold and Juno beaches were at the heart of operation Overlord. One Canadian and one British inf. divs. took the actions there in D-Day. This book, as usual with the Campaign series, analyse commanders, the planing, equipments and the armies, before and during the battle and it tells the story from both sides, attacker and defender. Then comes all the action in D-Day on both beaches, whose are descripted separately. Full color 3-D ‘bird’s-eye-views’, battle scenes and maps as well as color and black and white photographs that supports the text. It's a great book for enthusiasts of this type of history. I really enjoyed reading it. Obvbiously, these two, were the quietest beaches of the five, nonetheless they were as important as any, and this book tells the story in a very interesting way.
