"Great Build"

This kit is a wonderful addition to 1/48th scale models and fills a major history gap. The time to assemble this kit was about 20 minutes and there were no fit problems. I was very impressed. I recommend this little jewel to any model enthusiast or novice as its a great way to start the hobby or take a break from more complex kits. I'll paint the model with the German splinter camouflage pattern.

"E-Z Snapz V-2 Rocket Snap Tite Plastic Model Spacecraft Kit 1/48 Scale Review"

This 1/48 scale kit comes from a Chinese model company called Pegasus Hobbies. The only other kit I’ve worked on from them was the V-1 flying bomb and it was an excellent in my opinion. This one however, was not as good. The pros for this kit are as follows: The illustrations are well detailed as well as the components. The decals were easy to get off the paper and applied to kit with no problem. The cons for this kit are as follows: There is only one paint scheme you could do and there’s not enough views to work with. One of the four fins does not fit right in the rear fuselage. Despite the numerous sanding and regluing, the fin just wouldn’t fit at all. So I had to resort using some spackle to fill in the gaps as much as possible. In conclusion, I give this kit a rating of 3 stars out of 5. Pegasus Hobbies if you’re reading this, I highly suggest that you make sure that all of your components fit well with minimal sanding as possible. A few more paint schemes and views on your future kits wouldn’t hurt much either.

"Fun Rocket Kit"

The V-2 rocket was the world's first ballistic missile and the forerunner of the ICBMs that would dominate military strategy during the Cold War. This is a simple snap together kit that has nicely detailed recessed panel lines. Construction is fast with only a small amount of sanding and filling to be done. Markings consist of few stickers or decals depending upon the preference of the modeler. It also includes a small launch stand that is ideal for dioramas and other displays. Being that this kit is in 1/48th scale, it will sit well next to other aviation or armor subjects in that scale. Pegasus' V-2 makes for an enjoyable quick build and would be ideal for a weekend project.

"Very Good For A Snap Kit"

For a simple snap-together kit, this has some excellent detail. Assembly is straightforward and simple. Fit is generally good. I only had to do some minor filling. You can research the many color schemes this weapon had and choose on that suits you. You can either buy after-market decals or make them in Photoshop, as I do. It was an enjoyable build and was I was pretty much finished in one day by using quick-drying acrylic paints. Overall, a very good kit.
