"Fun weekend build"

Polar lights makes this model simple to build. Parts fit well but still needed some putty and sanding. Very nice kit overall

"The Klingon ship you know... recast as a Romulan"

So it will be no surprise to anyone who built the Polar Lights 1/1000 Klingon D7 Battlecruiser that this kit is the same model with Romulan decals. (In fact, the actual Polar Lights Klingon D7 comes with smaller Romulan decals.) That said, I think this ship and kit are awesome regardless of what race is behind the wheel. For those who are curious, there are just two small differences between the Klingon and Romulan versions of this kit. First, the Klingon version has two small holes in the bottom of the hull so you can stick the ship on a display stand from beneath. The Romulan version moves the hole to the rear of the ship, because the beneath holes would have to poke through the bird-of-prey decal that you apply to the bottom. Second, the Romulan decals for this kit are quite large.
