The Boeing 737 was designed as a short range passenger airliner to compete against the British BAC 1-11 and the Douglas DC-9. Featuring a twin engine arrangement with one turbojet mounted under each wing, the 737 also borrowed many components fromthe earlier 727 which has 3 tail mounted engines. To date, more 737's have been produced than any other passenger airliner and with engine and airframe upgrades, the type is likely to remain in service for many years. 1/200th .....
