Developed as the open top counterpart of the Ferrari 360 Modena, the Spider is equipped with a fully automatic soft-top which involves a complex yet compact two-stage folding function. The canvas hood is automatically folded up before slipping down inside the engine bay and getting topped off by an integrated tonneau cover. The Spider also features an ultra-lightweight aluminum alloy frame and inherited the same 3.6 Liter V8 Engine (400hp) as used on the 360 Modena. The suspension of the 360 Spider adopts double wishbones on the front and rear with anti-dive and anti-squat geometry.
