These track cleaners, disguised as locomotives, are made to run up front and remove grime before powered units run over it. Four independent, spring-loaded cleaning feet are built into the fuel tank and can be fitted with any combination of abrasiv e or felt disks, which ride the rail to remove oxidation, grime and dirt.
