Atlas Model Trains

The six-axle U30C locomotive was GEs answer to EMDs SD40. Packing 3,000-horsepower under the hood, this powerful locomotive was equally at home on heavy drag freights or in heavy unit train service. Production occurred between 1966 and 1976; the Atlas U30C is based on the more common post-1970 Phase III carbody.
