Features: * Rick is an old agricultural term for a large quantity of hay or straw stacked into a rectangular shape for storage and covered at the top to protect it from weather. It seems likely that early railroaders, fresh off the farm, looked at the piles of wood for the locomotives, and called them the same thing. * This kit will build two, scale 40' long ricks, or they can be combined into one of 80' length. Features: Observation tower kit based on those used on the former East German Republics borders. Includes border fence and printed sheet of typical German-language signs that may be cut and used. In other settings it makes a good observation tower, lighthouse, etc. The detailed assembly instructions include other building suggestions. The concrete pole consists of stackable rings allowing for variation in the tower height and making the kit also suitable for TT scale. Overall height approximately 6-1/2" 16.5cm.
