Based on Santa Fe's sand house in San Bernardino, California, as it appeared in the late 40s and 50s after it was expanded and adapted for sanding diesel locos as well as steam. Similar sand houses were used throughout the system, though there were differences in each. The kit includes materials for the main building, the sand bin, and the trestle leading to the bin.
