Features: As buildings grew taller in American cities, many fire departments converted horse-drawn hook and ladder wagons into motorized aerial ladder trucks. This rig is typical of the conversions that served big cities like New York, Chicago and Los Angeles in the 1920s. The rig is pulled by a detailed model of the Mack "Bulldog" tractor from 1923. The truck features an open cab, giving the driver unlimited visibility while spotting the ladder at the fire scene.
