Spotlight Review

"A fine and simple Nieuport kit."

As with other WWI kits of Revell, it's ease to assemble, few parts, so it can be built fast. The molding is fine, not great, some sanding is needed. No photo-etched parts. The model when finished looks very fine, although is rather simple in details. Painting scheme and (very good) decals, are for only one possible model, nonetheless, the scheme is a very good one, and looks great when you finish the kit.

"Very old kit, lots of flash"

This kit is simple and shows its age. There is a LOT of flash on the parts with lots of cleanup. Some minor imperfections in the molding. Only one set of decals. The interior has very little detail. Still a decent kit but will require a lot of work.

"Fun Kit!"

Revell makes a decent kit and I enjoyed building this one, mostly. It is a simple to build kit, only one page of instructions and painting/decal/rigging diagrams. The fit of the parts are good but the build is not trouble free for the most part. The only two negatives is the amount of flash, which is excessive, that has to be cleaned off the small parts very carefully, and the small fragile intra-wing struts. I broke mine when attaching the upper wing and it was a bit of a fuss getting the broken bits in the right place. The decals are great and look really good as does the plane when it is finished!
