"High hopes, but poor fit"
jamie
It had been awhile since I'd build a car kit. I'd never built a '69 Camaro, and this one looked really good, so this was a little Christmas present to myself. To sum it up, I hate the poor fit of car kits. It just amounts to poor kit design. I've built hundreds of models over the years, and this one is ok, but none of the parts have a positive fit. The worst is how they do the glass - the windshield and back window fit is the worst. These are critical parts and they just slop in there with nothing to guide a positive fit. Anyway, this one got the best of me. I made some mistakes for sure, but it just did not want to go together. I did achieve t a glass smooth paint job on the body. Then, my decal setting solution was too aggressive for the decals. Then when I was polishing the windshield, I broke it in half. So I ended up putting together what I could, but ended up with an unfinished model. I also wish they offered an induction system besides the stock 302 dual carb. A hot rod version with a single carb and air cleaner would seem a natural option. I will say the detail is very good, the body looks spot on, and the rally wheels are very nice.

I love this kit this kit is a lot of fun to build I love old cars so this is great for my collection this kit has a lot of cool ways you can customize it I want to add another one to my stash as this one looks so good PROS: cheap, fun to build, looks good, highly detailed, features a nice engine CONS: minor flash if you are thinking of picking up this kit then get it, it is a great kit for any old car collector and you will have many ways you can build this if I was going to give it a rating I would give it 10 out of 10 stars I am using this kit for a diorama I have about the first ever car show I went to my mom took a lot of pictures of the cars there so I build cars based on what was at the show and the beginning of my car addiction!

"excellent choice"

Another of Revell's wins. Not all of the Motor City Muscle kits are gems, but this one sure is. There is some fit issue with the body, but I always make that the absolute last step. With a little massaging I finally got it on. The rest of the car went together without issue. I had it on the mantle for 2 years before disaster struck - head on collision with a duster. Damage was moderate, but I never repaired it as the first build was so fun I thought I should just build it again. Highly recommended
