The fe3x is the same kit as the 83 hurst oldsmobile minus the red stripe on the rims and it doesn't have the same hood. Insteadthis kit comes with 2 hoods. As well as an aero package and a 2nd set of wheels. The guy who owns the 1 off car they modeled it after also owns the hurst they used for that kit. Very cool car and a neat piece of GM history

This kit is awesome. It comes with several front end options as well as a couple different rear bumpers. It also comes with 2 or 3 different hoods if I am not mistaken, I built mine as the Vader show car and only issue I had was paint related which was in no way due to the kit itself just bad prep. The metal axle pins fit kinda tight and might take some patient hands to fine sand the wheel back so they fit without damaging the wheel.

This was an awesome kit to build. The kit includes parts & decals to build either the regular Cutlass 442 or the FE3/X concept version. I built the latter since the box art is what drew my attention to buy it. This was my first Revell kit in a really long time and I did have some concerns about quality. It's definitely not Tamiya-quality, but it far exceeded my expectations. Some minor modifications were needed to ensure parts fit nice and flush, but nothing really major. The molds were all very crisp. No excess flash or anything like that. The side skirts for the FE3/X version were a little tricky as there are not really any big glue-points for attachment. They just kinda sit on the edges of the body. Thankfully this isn't something that is visible in the finished build. Attaching the wheels was also surprisingly tricky. The pins didn't really fit that well and minor modification to the wheels were required for flush fitment. Again, ultimately minor and not visible. I loved the engine detail so much that I felt compelled to enhance it with plug & battery wires. The interior was also really nice that I decided to flock it for that extra touch of realism. If you're a fan of GM G-Body cars, you should absolutely pick up this model for your collection! Keep on building! :D
