"Super Hornet is a Super value"
Ed H. (Byron, GA)
I just finished building the Revell 1/48 scale F/A-18F (two seat version) of this model. It is modeled after an early production Super Hornet with a few minor flaws but nothing drastically wrong. The seams are decent and the model goes together nicely with minimal filling and sanding needed. I substituted the plastic landing gear for a set of aftermarket metal gear because of the way the model set, I was not happy with the clearance of the rear fuselage but for the price of this kit you can't wrong. The decals in this kit are nice and crisp but I used a different decal set on mine to represent a VFA-32 Swordsmen jet, I did however use the kit decals for the instrument panels in the cockpit. Looks awesome.

"A pretty good model, but it could have a bit more to it..."
This model was easy to put together, no fit issues or anything like that. I painted mine in WWII Navy colors and it turned out pretty nicely (first time for airbrushing). However, this model could have had a little bit more to it such as more weapons, a pilot, and perhaps one more set of decals. If you are one who likes to do flying displays, You can always order from the Revell website two pilots from the 1/48 F-101B Voodoo (make sure you get the arms too) and this will make it look more realistic for that type of display.

"Revell 1/48 F/A-18E"
This is a good kit, superior to the Italeri F/A-18E. Great cockpit detail, full loadout, and a great two piece canopy +actuators for the choice of open or closed cockpit. The wheel bays are very detailed, some would say too detailed, as they include several molded in wires and electrical tubes. Also good surface detail.

"Excellent model to build and fun!!!!!!"
Ken W (New Market, TN)
this model of the f-18e hornet was complex if you made it to be with detail but was fun. this model also would be easy for beginners moving up into the level 2 and three range. has plenty parts to paint and or detail to the specified colors or by you imagination so you choose on that one. there are very small parts to this model, holding tools and tweezers will be needed, this model took me about 6 months of taking my time to complete. the directions where very easy to follow. the only thing I didn't like was that the paint chart was only on the front page and not through out the directions of building so you had to keep flipping back and forth, unless you cut that part out to keep it to the side and move on. that is what I did and it worked out just fine. I enjoyed this model very much and would highly recommend it to anybody who likes model building and or military aircraft. you cant be quality and price!!!!!!!!!! A++++++++++++++++
