V8, rear wheel drive, full size sedan and a large enough backseat to handle any prisoner. These qualities fit the demands for today's police force inside the last of the full-size police cruisers. Revell does a great job bringing this subject for modelers to explore in curbside form. The youngsters can also make a great rolling toy for their enjoyment as well. There is lots of good molded in detail but there is definately room for improvement. The Pros: When put together the overall look of the car is very good, looks accurately scaled to the actual car. When bulding, the fit of most pieces went together well. The chassis and interior have exceptional engraving detail in all the components. The light bar on top looks great, not cheesy looking like a lot of other snap cop car models out there. I like the side graphics, they look like a non police outfit like what (college) campuses use today. The Cons: It could have included some stickers/decals for the license plates so you will have to raid the parts box there. There definately should be side view mirrors, I would recommend Revell add this asap/latter because it would look so much better with them. There were a couple of fittment issues I encountered. The chassis to body rocker panels-there is a large exposed gap there and it could easily be cemented together. Also the headlights would not mount easily. Just enlarge the mounting holes in the body where the headlight part's mount peg goes into. The main problem with this kit though is the oversized/out of scale Ford factory rims for the discriminating modeler. I think the Lindberg offering would be a good fix there. Recommendations: I'm not sure if Lindberg's offering has an opening hood with engine but this kit could use one unless you want to go the curbside route. I would also like to see some with police uniform/accessories added to it. These items can be sourced from other kits or purchased separately via the aftermarket. I added six photos of one I built today and I personally plan to latter make it a curbside college campus police cruiser heavily worn and weather beaten with it's current paint sceme. I will change the interior color to a lighter shade and will post pics here when it is finished. Pick one up today and go any route you like!

Love these snap kits from revell they are always nice and these are definitely no exception other than snap kits not having engines they are really really good they’re fun to build and you can customize them any way you want the nicest part about these kits is there usually less than 15$ so there very cheap and I love taking parts from them like tires rims etc there also nice if you want to test colors and weatherization and all sorts of other stuff without spending a fortune in order to do that i use these all the time to try new colors customization options and weathering and much more PROS: cheap, easy to build, fun to build, great for learning new things, great detail for little money, really strong plastic CONS: NO engine if you wanna get one of these snap kits then get it they are so great for so many things and I use and buy them all the time to learn more and expand my modelling skills
