"Great Model for Kids"

I got this for my eight year old who was showing an interest in modeling with me. She loved it. It did need a little adult intervention to snap a couple of the parts together, otherwise it is super easy for kids to handle. No glue or paint needed, but some details could be added if you did want to pain something. The step rails are pretty thin and did break with play, but a little cement fixed that up. It even survived a camping trip. My kids now point out every Jeep they see, and get really excited about green ones, so it certainly got them thinking about it. Now my six year old is asking for models. I call that a win.

"almost too easy?"

This was like the fifth snap model I got for my son between 4-6 years and he didn't really have much to do with this one. Can't quite remember but it was like 5 parts, 4 steps or something. I'm thinking I'll try the Revell Jr Off Road Vehicle #RMX851003 (of course that's 1/20th scale, but it comes with a cool looking winch!) next time. Of course that line -sounds- like it's easy as well...

A really simple kit. There are only 10 parts to assemble. The completed model looks good and is tough enough for kids to play with. The color is excellent and the instructions are clear and easy to follow. This is meant for kids from 6 - 10 years old and is a good introduction to begin their model building hobby.

"Simple Build"

The kit is simple, with less than a dozen parts and is a snap kit. The detail is actually really nice. It is missing side mirrors, the roll bar, a spare tire & rack, and rearview mirror. I picked up one of these primarily to snatch the wheels for a Revell Rubicon (RMX4501). I had also hoped the hard top was molded separately,doors, and a spare... but no such luck. Except for the wheels, I've stashed this kit away until I could make a rollbar and finish things up. I'd use it in a diorama accessory piece.
