The kit and the Renwal name bring back lots of found memories of building this kit years ago when the company started issuing the Blueprint series of kits. This particular kit that I completed is one of many in a historic line-up of certain past vehicles once seen on the battlefield. The overall construction of the model was straight forward with a little flash and noticeable part fit issues. I had to drill out several road wheel centers and scrape flash off the rims. Other fit issues were simply the parts being molded in old dyes as I suspect the re-issued kits are formed from the old castings. The kit lacks any modern standards in detailing and is a simple representation of the vehicle at the most basic level, strictly for a fun-filled one day session as with me. As a highly experienced and detailed- oriented modeler of sixty years I enjoyed just building the kit and placing the decals, which are no doubt new issue and need to be placed correctly on the model as I have attempted to do. The diagram for the decal placement is the old instruction sheet and is not accurate as far as I can tell. I did not paint or weather the model as I wanted a plain jane kit for my display options. I would highly recommend this kit as a starter kit for any age over 8 years.
