"Tricky, frustrating, but rewarding in the end"

This model is pretty tricky, and I wouldn't recommend it to beginners. Like most Roden models I have encountered, the fit is pretty bad, there is an enormous amount of flash and it requires quite a bit of critical thinking and problem solving to get the thing finished. With that said, the model does have some nice fine detail, and it can be made into a handsome model with care, attention and patience. One thing that makes this particular model difficult is the way the wings are set up. Biplanes are always more difficult to construct because one of the wings is usually a parasol. On the Bristol F2b, both wings are parasols (the fuselage is suspended by struts between both wings rather than being properly attached to one of them), and there are two rows of struts on each side making attaching the wings very VERY finicky. Additionally there are about five different things inside the fuselage that need to match up exactly right in order for the fuselage halves to fit together at all. The decals are thick, brittle, poorly printed and generally of low quality. With that said, if you stick with it, be careful, and plan properly, you will have a good looking model that you can be proud of.
