Tamiya is the ONLY paint I use for my drag racing model kits. I use resin aftermarket parts like blowers and such for greater realism and Tamiya is the paint to trust. Paint acrylic lacquers are almost all quick drying (especially flat black). Multiple thin coats of primer and base colors help create a glossy finish that's won me many a ribbon for an amateur. The only other spray I use for body colors is the Testors one coat brand if I want a metallic finish in one shot. Note colors shown in Tamiya charts are not exactly the same as what you eventually shoot. The clear red looks to have a slight pink overtone in the chart but is really clear red.
