"Small simple build"

The US Modern Infantry set by Tamiya was a very good set! It comes with two small piece trees, one for the weapons and equipment, and the other for the actual soldiers. The molding was done pretty good with the occasional flaw that a sanding file could easily solve. Overall, the build was small and very detailed for the price and easy to create.

Features

Detailed plastic pieces molded in tan and attached to sprue trees.
U.S. soldiers are posed in various forms of motion - three running and one in the act of shooting.
Finished soldiers are decked out in camouflaged uniforms and helmets, stylish black boots, and all hold compact machine guns.
Carrying cases drape their chests and their backs, along with loaded belts.
Other weapons include a M47 Dragon missile launcher and a M7 bayonet.
Accessories include a protective mask, a canteen with a cover, an intrenching tool, and a small arms ammo case.
Clear box illustrations provide overall paint scheme for modelers.

These figures are very detailed and make an excellent addition to any modern conflict diorama.

This is a detailed and well researched kit, but rather dated (it was released before Gulf War One to give you some context ). The inclusion of the anti tank missile launcher was new back then as was the updated (for that period) versions of the M16. However, since its release many companies, namely Dragon, have released kits with better sculpted figures and accessories.

This kit has great detail and will look great in my diorama I am working on. They are a great size to go with vehicles as I am doing or with aircraft! Easier to paint and build than smaller sized figures which I one reason why I like them. You can also make them more detailed with 1/35 scale accessories. Enjoy!
