F4U Corsair

In all fairness to Testors, I did not build this plane myself. It was a gift for my 11-year old son. He had difficulty assembling it and brought it to me to see if I could fix it. I got it together as best I could but the fit was quite loose and the plane would not hold together. It is entirely possible my son ignored the instructions and assembled parts out of order and had to remove locking tabs or whatever to get things together - however, I was unable to tell for sure by comparing to the instructions which are not as detailed as I would have liked. I will probably buy one for myself and if it turns out properly I will use it to teach my son the problem with ignoring instruction sheets and rushing through construction.
