"USAF in Vietnam, RAF in WWII, too"
mark.nickelson
At one stage before they were associated with Humbrol, Airfix instructions called for FS-34079 to be RAF Spinach, the green in their early (and, at least on my models, late) war camouflage. And I trust Airfix, because they're English. MM offered an RAF Green recently and only briefly. I'm guessing it was the same formula, but no matter, it's not in the product line now. FS-34079 is also, if you're not somebody who squints at FS numbers, the darker of the two greens in Southeast Asia (the camouflage pattern, not the region). The other colors in Southeast Asia are FS-34102 and FS-30219, just so you know. I have probably used more of this color than I have olive drab.

I have been using Model Master bottle paint for years and find that they are easy to use with a multitude of colors available.

"best bang for your buck"

This is the only stuff i buy for brush painting. Its got excellent coverage and its not blotchy. Gives you the best bang for your buck if you do a lot of modeling.

"Good for touch ups"

Is a little thick, but matches the spray color nicely for good touch ups.

Comments

  • Keep out of the reach of children.
  • Highly Flammable Paint.
  • Use with adequate ventilation.
  • In case of eye contact, flush eye with water for fifteen minutes and seek medical help.
  • If airbrushing, use Airbrush Thinner (TESR2999)
